94+ Fuel pump Cutoff switch ?
Does the 94+ M1 have a cutoff switch similar to the 1.6l?
The 1.6l has such a switch buit into its AFM, so the fuelpump is only on when Airflow is dedected...is there a similare device in the newer model?
Why do I ask?
A member of our German miata board has problems with her Car (stalls suddenly). After permanatly powering the fuelpump by a jumper wire in the diagnosis box, car seems to run fine so far...
Thankx for your ideas

There is not a physical switch per se. In the '94, the fuel pump relay is controlled directly by the ECU. When the ECU determines that the engine is running (meaning that it sees CAS and AFM activity) it turns on the fuel pump by providing a closure to ground on the light green wire at position 2T.
