In boedhiman's defense, your joke would make more sense with an apostraphe after 'members'.

OP- go to good-win-racing.com and look at their wheel selection.

TorqueZombie 01-30-2013 10:06 PM

I did find it interesting that my Konig Flatouts have the Rays, forged, and monoblock stuff still cast in them. Part of me doubts their forged.

Finally some real answers. Thanks so much!

Yes. Miatas are a ton of fun and cost very little in the USA. In fact many people try to sell them for high prices, but a good condition used Miata can be bought for around $3000 USD.

Your English is good. We can help you pick a car if you're serious about buying one. BUT we will only help if you stop hanging around the kids that told you to call wheels rims. :)

I managed to secure a 4k deal for this guy. Go for it or not?

FS: CLEAN1990 Mazda Miata 4700 OBO I know the hardtop is worth a decent amount of money.

Edit: Thanks my parents went to school in the US too and I went to an international school since I was a kid. Although English is still my second language I can speak it fluently.

TorqueZombie 01-31-2013 12:48 AM

$4.7k for that?

I managed to negotiate 4k, is it still too expensive?

Things are worth what someone will pay for it. I got a good deal on my '97 M edition w/ small dents and scratches, needed a heater hose set, a radiator, and shortly needed a clutch 6months later. Half case of flat black later it's still not pretty, but has worked fine short of some oil consumption lately. Had it for 4yrs+. You really don't want to know what I payed.

any amount of $$$ is too much for a 90-93.

:brain:

the one you posted should be sold for closer to 1500-2000.

Joe Perez 01-31-2013 10:45 AM

On the plus side, after you buy it you can yank out the Raceland coilovers and sell them to This Guy.

laguna96 02-01-2013 02:29 PM

I can't believe it's up for debate... those are flatouts lol. if you counted the spokes to begin with you could rule out the other suggestions right off the bat. not to mention flatouts are a really popular cheap wheel that are comparable to most common miata track wheel sizes

thenuge26 02-01-2013 02:39 PM

OP for 4k if you don't get something that at least has a 1.8 then I will be disappointed. For 4k, you should be able to get something that is immaculate and has a torsen. That is neither, run far far away.

Fucking R I C E .

Not a deal at all.

rleete 02-01-2013 05:13 PM

Other than the fact that it's too low, it looks relatively unmolested. I'd offer just under $4k, and go from there.

If I were to buy wheels that looked like that, I'd have to go with Konig Heliums, which they look just like.

d2unkm0nk3y 02-07-2013 03:41 AM

And you can pick up Heliums used with tires on them for cheap most of the time on craigslist and stuff. I've seen a few sets in the last few months.

Don't buy a '89-'93 Miata because they have smaller engines, smaller brakes, and a rear differential that is weak and will break easily. The '94 and newer cars are more desirable for these reasons. You can buy the earlier cars if you are willing to spend the money and do the work to change things to the larger components.

boedhiman 02-07-2013 01:18 PM

Thank you all for the very useful information. Now i am a proud bone stock clean 94 m edition owner. Exterior and seats are not perfect but it is mechanically well maintained and smooth. Everything runs smooth but the previous owner for whatever reason took the cat off. Is that a good idea?

Got it for 2.8k too. (Good deal ya?) Will post some pics...
