I don't want to give up my airbag but want a thicker grippier rim. Found these guys on ebay. Basically ttey offer a pre-cut cover and you have to find somone local to stitch it. It seems a good value at $75. They don't offer a Miata one yet (specificallly an NB2 Nardi is what I was looking for).

Maybe if more people inquired they may start on them as that is what they told me in a reply.

Isnt ~$75 what it costs to just have the local upholstery shop make you one? I would check that first before you go through all that work.
