your door speakers most likely have 4ohm coils so you could wire them parallel on one channel to get ~250watts@2ohm, 125w each speaker, and use the other channel for a DVC sub also wired in parallel for another 250rms. If your door speakers can't handle 125w you could wire them in series for halt the wattage.
IMO if youre going to upgrade the sound, you need a small sub as well. You don't have to listen to rap to appreciate bass. Imagine watching a movie at the theater without bass.

in bold is bad info bro. why would he want to put 125w to some coax door speakers. and why would he want to NOT have STEREO sound? if he puts both on one channel, which would you recommend? the left side or the right side? that would be dumb. you could do that with a 4 ch. amp, (like i already explained) but not with a 2 channel.

also, that amp is approx. 360 real watts. the birth certificate is @ 14.4 volts and 1% thd. you'll never get 14.4 volts to the amp in any car except a sound off vehicle. and 1% total harmonic distortion is too much even for subs, let alone mids/high's. i know my shop is an authorized rockford dealer. that's a really old amp, they were always decent though.

your right, I apologize for the bad advice. I had done it that way with a same side front/rear in a different car and didn't realize the same cant be applied with with right and left.

you're wrong on the watts though. birth certificate was at 13.8v and tested for over 500w. The punch line was underrated. I doubt they do anymore, but RF used to test at 12v for their amp ratings. it definitely puts out more than 360 bench tested.
