And I never once said anything about the weight of the hood. Fiberglass is not as ridgid as aluminum and thats why stiffer more widely available hood shocks will give the o.p.'s results. I dont ever recall talking to you like that. ever. so id appreciate it if you did the same for me.

Either way, the stiffness of the hood has nothing to do with it either. Mike shouldn't have just epoxied bolts into the hood. |

if it was a top notch hood it would either have some anchored studs like the ones previously posted or it would have some anchored threaded steel collars. however if it was a top notch hood it would also cost 2x the amount. i will personally take the cheap price and re do the fasteners myself if that's what has to happen.

I ended up cutting a small hole and throwing a bolt with a washer through the back to replicate a stud. Hood pins are on the front and holding up still. If/when this goes south ill probably put two more hood pins on the oem hinges through the hood.
