bad ass, affordable gauges

Its pretty cool how the gauge beeps and changes color with warnings. They're affordable too.

Someone should attack a group buy. One of my old roommates has the white/amber gauges and they look great. I priced out all the gauges I want from them a couple weeks ago, but I don't wanna spend that much. From what I hear they give great discounts on group buys, and their customer service is supposed to be ridiculously good.

I've seen them before. I need oil temp and EGT. I want to replace my stock CLT gauge in the pod somehow but I have no leads on how to do that.

Ben 09-15-2007 01:07 PM

I sent them an email asking for group buy terms and/or dealer agreement.

They are a little flashy for my taste, but I like how the EGT gauge is a usable range. I can peg my autometer. And their standard gauges are pretty reasonably priced for electronic gauges.

I always find good deals on shit at NASIOC.com, vendors there are pretty generous. I just picked up a piece of kit for $50 less than anyone else on a normally $300 item, free shipping.

I got Omori gauges for my WRX, those are really nice but not the cheapest (also not the most expensive either) and have user tuneable peak warnings. I've had my experience with cheap gauges, Megan Racing to be exact. My EGT just took a digger because there's no way I'm sitting at 750* F, the other one's seem to be working just fine at the moment but I'm still going to change them all out before they all take a shit on me. I'm looking at going with the Omori boost and EGT since I have a wideband coming.

neogenesis2004 09-15-2007 01:10 PM

I plan to wire mine up to a pot to work as a dimmer.

hustler 09-15-2007 01:34 PM

Lets do a group buy. I'd do premium boost, egt, and oil temp.

y8s 09-15-2007 01:41 PM

interesting, and look nice... definitely hitting a price point

but come on, "we dont need no stinkin controller" is just crying "we copied defi" isn't it?

i like the white amber. the combo defi didn't have :)

Where did you purchase the Omori gauges from?

The Omori's are really nice, the only thing you need to splice and dice is the power, ground, and dimmer. Everything else are nice connectors and stuff. I believe they have a full spectrum color changing gauge line too controlled by an RGB dial type switch so you could make flaming pink if you wanted. :) They're a pretty complete set up. They even include a dinky little screwdriver to adjust your warning levels. The sandwich adapter I bought separate and ended up not even using.

^thanks for the link.

I think I am going to go with one SPA Design gauge with Boost and Oil Temp. They have Boost and EGT as well, but It is more expensive and I am not too sure about needing it. They are super accurate and can be found for around 200 USD with senders.

i hear the pro-sports are hit and miss... most of the EGT's fail after 6 months or so from what the subbie crowd says. But others find that they last forever. My friend got boost/egt/oil temp and for some reason his oil temp gauge is 100% of the time pegged hot even on cold starts. Pro sport keeps sending him new sending units and so far he is on his 3rd.

Dhaark 09-16-2007 12:34 PM

I talked to Pro-Sport.... and if I remember correctly, the discount on a group buy is 13% off the regular price.... I talked to neo about it in mid-july. :)

StankCheeze 09-16-2007 01:00 PM

Wish they had a 30-0-20 boost gauge :(

boostinsteve 09-16-2007 02:54 PM

I purchased the electric boost gage, voltmeter, and have the oil pressure gage. So far, they have been awesome and have been accurate as hell. They are about 3 months old now.

neogenesis2004 09-16-2007 02:58 PM

You never followed through though. I need mad gauges yo!

EGT
Oil pressure
Oil temp
52mm digi tach
Probably a water temp gauge

cjernigan 09-16-2007 02:59 PM

Sounds like you're building a custom gauge panel?

neogenesis2004 09-16-2007 03:15 PM

It hadn't really crossed my mind, but if I could find a 52mm speedo too then maybe I could.
