Default Track seat question-Help

I am purchasing a Sparco Sprint seat.

I wanted to know how any of you have mounted your race seats.

I will not be using a slide. Its just a track car.

Any pics would be appreciated also.

Thanks

is it an old sparco sprint or sprint 5. If its the old version you will probably just have to make 2 custom strips that go between factory mount holes and bolt seat to those 2 metal strips.

that seat sucks. If it has no nutstrap provision, then its not worth the money.

I took the factory seat rails out and mounted my Spring 5 with side mount brackets straight to the floor after massaging the tunnel out. I'm going to have to agree with Hustler, that seat sucked. I sold it shortly after for something else.

Nice pics, thank you..

Why do you guys think the seat sucked so bad? I am in a **** box Ultra shield right. It sure as hell wont be worse than that.

So why is it so shitty? Felt pretty good to me..

I like it, the only objective i have it that it doesn't have head bolsters. Ill be selling my drivers seat for a sparco circuit when i cage my 90.

Funny you say that because I sold it for an UltraShield pro road race seat and don't regret it one bit. Which UltraShield seat do you have?

Personally, it sat way too high for me (as with most seats I have tried). It was more comfortable then the UltraShield, but being 6'2", I would rather give up a bit of comfort for a TON of headroom from the cage. Not saying its a horrible seat, just not the seat for me.

No opinion on the Sprint personally, although I thought it was similar to the momo start, which I do have. They're both the entry level FIA approved racing seat for both companies, although I guess the Sparco one is crap.

A buddy of mine decided it would be funny to pull it out of my locker while i was between days of working on it and scratch that onto it. I never removed it.

Thanks for all of the input guys.

I am 5'10 225lbs. My ***, legs fit just fine.

It will do for now.

I dont mind my Ultra shield at all. I just need an FIA seat. thats all. If I didnt, the U/S would be there forever. I believe its the Rally?

Yeah they are similar. No FIA does suck, I'm not a fan of back braces.
