cut it and extend the part around the tb with a tube, to which you can also attach brackets to fasten it down to either the IM support brace spot or something else.

....like everyone here does

hacking not mandatory, but to get exactly what you want you will likely have to cut it.

Alternatively, just remove the charcoal canister.

You like pictures. I post one. This is with the hose you didn't like, no splicing. Works nice.
