Default Best Car Wash

I drive my car often and unfortunately live in Florida. I get a lot of bugs and stuff on my car. I would usually wash my car with Purple Power but it just isnt cutting it. Either these bugs are sticking real good or the car wash is just ****. So what kind of car wash do you guys use?

Nothing takes off "love bugs" after they are over a week old. They harden like epoxy and etch into the paint. Other bugs are not anything special.

I have been using Griots' stuff for several years. Used to have to order it online, but they have started selling it at local auto-parts stores now as well.
Their regular car wash is great, but they sell a special bug remover version as well.

I have never found any soap to be better at bug removal than any other. The key IMO is soaking the bug affected zone for a good 20 minutes, the water will break up the hardened bug gut juices.

Im going to have to try that griots and those sponges. Hopefully it works out. Problem is I live on a dirt road so my car stays clean until I get out of my driveway. Then the sand and dirt makes it so dirty.

Living on a dirt road, almost no point in detailing the car. I used to live on one. Would wash and wax once a year, which is acceptable with a Wrangler.
Although, if you do a nice wax job, some of the Speed Shine and a microfiber cloth will make your car look good pretty quickly.

Pretty much what he said. However if you want to at least protect the paint somewhat. DO give it a nice good detailed wash. Use claybar and everything. Use soft brushes to avoid scratches etc. Once it's all dried out go back over it with paste wax and do 1 panel at a time. Wax on with an applicator, Wax Off with microfiber. Never used Speed Shine myself, but a detail spray after everything will make it nice and slick/smooth. One thing about wax, is it'll make the dirt stick even more however it's very easy to remove when you wash again.

Yeah every Six months or so I give the car a wash, clay bar, wash again, and then some nice wax. I think it should be done a little more often but unfortunately trying to find time its hard and washing at night isnt every fun either.

The closest my NB has gotten to a bath is when I use glass cleaner on the doors so that my blue tape auto-x numbers stick. After finding the peeling clearcoat, that probably won't change.

I find Miata's look better with a bit of mud on them anyways. Makes the pretty boys in brodozers feel shame.
