the best gauges I've seen, ever
I also have a CLT and oil temp gauge. They were fine except for the whole color change thing. They only change sometimes. Then when I put the motor back in after rebuilding it both temp gauges just stopped working. Just like that, they were fine and then they were fubared.

I just can't bring myself to spend $140+ on a gauge. They are nice though.

actually, they're ugly. I can get another greddy for that price and although I will have to deal with metric measure, it will look clean as ****. Its not that hard to go "100*C, all hell is about to break loose" when looking at water temps.
You wanted something close to the OEM illum.
Most full-sweep electrics are pricey.
But the senders were awful, I had electric boost, egt, and oil pressure.
The sender on the boost gauge went out after a month, and I got it replaced under warrenty, the second boost gauge went out after about 9 months and was not covered by warrenty.
The EGT probe went out 3 times; first two under warrenty the last not covered.
The oil pressure gauge went out last and after that I just thew them all away.

I got tired of my Autometer boost gauges being inaccurate after a year of use, so I tried GlowShift which failed miserably, ended up going to AutoZone and paying $40 for a black faced Sunpro boost gauge. It works like a champ, I was actually running 2psi more than I thought I was.. (19psi, not 17psi.. lol)
Thats a different style gauge, but I say go for it. I probably wouldn't mess around with their electric gauges though.

Good to know. The Sunpro boost gauge that I bought at Advance Auto was $24.90. I just wanted a close reference and didn't want to spend a bunch.

Have you seen the GS in person?
Autometer claims they are LED backlit, I was hoping they looked better then their standard shitty illum.

any chance that gauge uses a 1-wire probe...and does anyone know the resistance range of the stock gauge? Maybe I can hook it up to the stock plug rather than drill and tap.

I ended up grabbing an electric 52mm water temp gauge in green back lighting with a yellow needle, with warning for $100 from j-spec. I wish I found these guys sooner.
When will the gauge arrive, post some pics up when it does.
