So I dropped my VICS solenoid and broke one of the hose barbs off of it. I have a similar looking vacuum solenoid I pulled from the '99 the engine came from. Can I use this in place of the VICS solenoid? The connector is different but I'll have to wire it up to the megasquirt anyway.

 

Yes, that'll work. With VICS, you'll want to do back to back full RPM runs to verify your settings. I've seen engines want slightly different RPMs and on/off settings, always helps to double check.
