Calling all fabricators: Can you make these? (vented triangle windows)

I've really wanted one of these sets for a while now, but cant seem to find any. Doesn't look like they would be that hard to make, but I got no skills with cutting glass or anything like that. Basically looking for the triangle window to be able to open. I know they make a cool breeze scoop for the sides, but that requires taking it off and storing it when its no in use. This way, you could open it up whenever you wanted. Here's pics of stuff from japan:

That's from this site: http://barchetta-x.hp.infoseek.co.jp/retoro.htm

KG Works was also developing a set too, but looks like it never got anywhere: http://www.kgworks.co.jp/4-c-999.html

With my AC taken out of the car, this would be a good solution.

Anyone?

im sure i could knock up a design in poly carb.. it'd have to use a slider or acrylic hinges.. but theres a way.

Similar (almost identical) to the windows we had in our 1968 Chevelle. Nice!

No, it's not opaque, they just didn't remove the paper protective covering yet. I have one, and love it. The little eyeball vent pops out and in, closes pretty much weather tight, and you can spin it to optimize air flow. It's my air conditioning.

I'd be all over this. I have them in my '87 4Runner and love them.

There is a thread on m.net where someone mentions these and everyone who responds says they always leak like crazy.

Do naca ducts in lexan windows count? They look more baller anyways. Especially when I use blue masking tape and a spray can cap to seal it off in cool weather.

unless they are 'very' well designed, they will leak like a sieve. wing windows make for GREAT airflow though, top up or down.

Why not just use a slider type system? As in a perimeter frame of lexan fitting into the stock window spot and then another peice of lexan on sliders that goes back and slightly inward to clear the frame? Use some small clamps for it when in the closed position to press it outward into a seal on the perimieter peice.

Simplicity is beatiful.

I got one of mine installed already.
It's pretty easy just pull the door panel, pull the window, then pull the window guide rail. Pop the glass window out of the factory seal and replace it with the lexan piece and put it all back together.

A few notes, the plastic is extremely easy to scratch so be very careful to make sure you don't get any grit on it during installation.
I moves a decent amount of air. I've found that if you roll the driver window up and crack the passenger window open about an inch it moves plenty of air to keep you cool unless it's over 90 degrees out.

With both windows down it does add a nice jet of air to the center of your body.

The vent seals really well to, it doesn't whistle or hum when closed and it's been rain proof so far.

i just started making these and selling them in the uk.

I'd be very interested in the advance ones if fitment is good. With the hard top on there is just so little airflow in the car...
