Default cam cap torque specs

Can someone confirm how tight I should be doing the cam caps up?

I see 14.2nm online but that doesn't seem very tight to me?

also should i be using a dab of blue locktite in the bolts?

thanks for the help

11.3-14.2 Nm is the spec. Yes, it isn't very tight. I do not believe there is any need to locktite it.

I've had good luck with tightening them by hand, as my torque wrench doesn't do in-lbs. I use a 1/4" ratchet, choked up with my hand around the socket, and tighten them by feel. Just be sure everything is clean, I also don't think locktite is required. I've assembled 4 or 5 engines this way.

Use this method at your own risk.
