CF hood + turbo = fail? What to do about the heat?
Just got my new cf hood and want to make sure i dont fade or discolor the look of the brand new cf under that clear coat. So my question is, for those of you who have a cf hood and are turbo what do you do about head shielding and have you noticed any discoloration?
Also what kind of maintenance is needed for cf products or does one just treat it like a regular painted panel? |
Just wax it regularly for maintnance.
Any heat shield over the turbo should do, but I'd have to recommend a turbo blanket first, then build a shield to cover the whole setup-mani, turbo and DP. |
Oh, i forgot to add, like to see my begi ss sg dp as well...
|
You either cover your DP or melt the hood, take your pick :)

Or you can jack up your car and look at it from underneath... |
He should hang the CF hood on his wall instead.
