Default Cheap? Me too. Functional hood vents for UNDER $40!

Tackled this project this weekend after putting it off for a little while. Needed a functional solution for hood venting that worked with my intercooler piping routing and also achieving a good appearance...Hey, I said I'm cheap, not desperate.

We'll see if the epoxy works as hoped.

I have an over and down intercooler piping setup, and to clear i already had to trim some of the hood underneath and it's still tight. Therefore i ran them down the sides, where there is still a negative pressure differential and air will flow out of the vents. The differential is AS great as the location you linked to above, but it's still a nice improvement. Also, my vents were less than $40

Ah ok.

The epoxy will work or fail depending on what type you used. There are specific epoxies that have a high vibration resistance, and others that will shatter under the same conditions.

There are threads here where people have gone to the trouble of creating pressure tested data that tells you where NOT to put a vent!
And of course where to install the vent!

The picture shown are not here you want to vent.
I will look it up when I have a minute, but until then use the search function folks!

I know the testing you're referring to, and this location is absolutely a functional zone.

You might end up with issues with that cracking. You probably would have been better off with 3M VHB tape.
