Default Chrome Spray Painting (bling bling)

Anyone see this before ?

Here's a better view of the chroming process itself, easier than spray painting !

One of the stages is just water and air dried afterwards.

Saw it on pimp-my-ride once, "chrome" scallops on a green Mustang. Neat effect.

Yeah, 50 cent got a new black lambo done in chrome as well.
But this stuff is not paint, it's a chemical process.
I think they wash with treated water, then spray with a chemical, then spray with an activator.
Wash it off again and air dry....sorted !
That's why it's easier than spray painting, use loads of it and it just drips off the excess.

it's chrome-like but it's not electroplated chrome that's for sure.

Nope, its not a metal at all.
It has the same thickness (and strength) as a car paint but looks and feels like chrome.

I wonder if this would work for my kitchen table trim when I get around to the restoration... anyone know if you can buy this stuff for home use?

Wonder if it has the same shitty insulation properties as electroplating?

It's suppose to work on nearly any surface including wood as it's not plating etc.
I think they do a kit but don't know if there's one for home use.
Dunno about it's insulation properties.

my vote is no on spray on chrome. or intentionally chroming anything for that matter. i spend too much time removing weight to look pretty.
