It's one tooth less compared to the 4.1 diff, 1 more on the pinion. Shouldn't make that much of a difference in sloppiness.

Oh well, we all knew you had a sloppy rear end though.

That looks like too much. That would be backlash and the spec is A LOT less than that. Even if there is some extra movement inside the diff going out to the wheels. Last time I set preload and backlash I had way less than that, can't remember the spec but should be very little play. Is it possible that the tabs got loose allowing the backlash ring things to back out a bit?

Shuiends looks a lot closer.

Just use your manquads and push it out in neutral. Plus it is racecar why you care about reverse noise.

Personally i think you should drain your dif juice. There may be a chunk o metal in there.
