Cluster flex circuit screws
2 Attachment(s)
Anyone know the threading/pitch? I'm talking about the screws which complete the circuit between gauge and flex circuit.
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1364214954 I took apart my cluster to modify the gauge faces so that the OEM gauges and the AEMs matched. I also wired up LEDs warning lights and a shift light while I was at it. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1364214954 Anyway, I had a box with the gauge hardware under my desk and the cleaning crew at work tossed it (along with 50 bucks worth of 8mm inconel studs for my downpipe) :crx: I'm looking to order replacements off Mc-Carr, however, they don't thread into any of the thread checkers I have in the shop. I'm assuming it's a pretty standard screw. Anybody know what the hell these screws are and/or have 6-8 they want to mail me for a price? -Zach |
If they're anything like the other million screws on the car, they're m6x1.

I'm leaning towards m3 or possibly m4. Fortunately, we have some left over hardware from a project at work so I can see if m3/m4 nuts will match. It's a shame all the good metric hardware stores are defunct. -Zach |
At least on the NB gauge cluster they are definitely not metric - they are tapping screws as they go into the plastic housing.
