Yeah, I forgot to do that after work yesterday. I'll try to remember to do it today.

To whom it may concern,

I was looking for the coil pack connector for my 99. I found a guy on my local forum that was into Lemons, time attack, NASA and what ever else. He was parting with all of his Miata stuff to get into IROC. He said if i want the connector I had to take it all. So now I have a box full of old harnesses. I haven't gone through it yet but it looks to be 3-4 cars worth of engine harnesses. ABS computers, fuse blocks, clips and connectors as far as the eye can see. If you would like me to take pics, measure, count pins or what ever, let me know.

Ps; all for sale if you would like to buy connectors.

Ok, this is making more sense after looking at it.

Cam and Crank sensors are made by stacks upon stacks of people, there are at least three different manufacturers. I've cut a few apart. :-) Not sure how this helps. :-)

I think I'm starting to get this - I'm sometimes unsure about which side you're talking about!

Heh - no, sadly Joe Does Not Know (way better than some WWJD bracelet)... The more I poke around, the less I find people who know.

I am giving a lot more thought to just re-pinning the connectors I have, then all I need to know is who made them and what series they are.... But repinning leads to breaking, so it'll come up anyway.

Ok, just went out and took a few shots of all the connectors I could reasonably get to on the car in pajamas. Why I wouldn't change out of PJs for a project like this is as ridiculous as asking why a grown, educated man isn't at WORK 10 till at noon on a wednesday.

See pics here: MiataConnectorImages - AbeFM's Photos

That said, several of the connectors have small, 2-3 digit numbers on them. As likely date codes as part number look ups, but maybe it's a place to start? Some of them are keyed, I tired to show these where possible.

pics are still uploading, and I'll have to reorder them and comment on each photo to describe what it is. Anyway, this should be a big step forward.

Notable connectors I couldn't get:
Ignition connector - no idea where the coil pack or wires are. COP FTW
Water Temp Connector - after my reroute, it would take serious effort to get to it.
Speedometer Cable - would require jacks and I could break a nail or muss my hair.
Alternator Control Plug - would love to have this, certainly something needed. Likely get it next time I'm out in garage.
99+ MAF - it's currently living on a friend's turbocharged R1 powered sandrail as a way for us to develop code on a new EMS. Not driving to AZ to snap pics of it.
Charcoal canister, break switches, etc etc....

Someone mentioned perhaps getting some pics - I would put these on the top of the list:
Water Temp
Coil Pack
Alternator
MAF

Try to get good, IN FOCUS pictures, especially of any keying and any numbers/letters. You can PM me and I'll host them on my site.

It would be so you could make a pnp harness for putting an NB engine into an NA chassis, at least on the cam/crank sensor side of things.

What about on the other side? The NA computer won't run it anyway?

Its assuming you have some sort of standalone ecu that is already wired for the NA connector, so it would just require a software change between the two types of triggers. Would basically minimize the mount of cutting I would need to do. Not a big deal, I'll just have to cut that connector off and replace it with a weather pack that goes to both sensors.

My thoughts exactly.

Sure, there's also a "2". If you check out the you'll find pics like

and

masterfully focused by clicking on the screen of phone before taking picture so it knew what I was talking about.

Of course, most of the numbers are quite a bit more useless, that one sensor (quite possibly made by Amp) has more writing on it than the rest of the car put together.

This amp connector:

clearly has information on it.

But the sumi-stuff...

e16 is the best I can find.

I was looking for a male connector to build a PNP-IAT harness:

This seems to be an Toyota connector:

Part.-Nr. 90980-11163

But what make could this be...? As we need the male part of that...

EDIT:

O.K. Here we go - it made by YAZAKI Part.-Nr. 7283-1224-10 http://connectors-catalog.sys.yzk.co...list&select=05
(Found it here - this could be a good source for some of the part.-numbers: New United Race Tech, New United Race Tech

There is no - "Mating Part Numbers" - so I guess there is no male connector for this... (I have a spare Air temp sensor, so I am going to use this)

This one is also a Toyota Connector:

Also made by Yazaki Part.-Nr. 7283-1133-10

Here are the details:

Zaphod - Excellent work! Please PM me your email, you could add to the spreadsheet. There's tons more pics on the website. I can post more a couple at a time and we can work on them... I want to get it filled out.

I talked to the dude at Eastern Beaver, and he said he'd be open to ordering more connectors from the same lines, so we need to get that spreadsheet done.... This should be a totally tackleable problem.

Some more:

This one - CAM sensor(?)

Is also YAZAKI Par.-Nr. 7283-8730-30

YAZAKI Connectors Catalog

And some more:

This one - (What sensor is it?)

Should be a Sumitomo DL sealed Series Part No. 6195-0006 (please check this - I am not entirely sure because of the tongue in the middle of the male connector)
http://swsct.sws.co.jp/components/en..._s=61950006dls

Here we go again:

Crank position Sensor

Also a Sumitomo DL sealed series
http://swsct.sws.co.jp/components/en..._s=61950012dls

Male connector Part.-Nr. 6195-0012

Female connector Part.-Nr. 6195-0009

Here is the complete range of the DL sealed series as a PDF file: http://swsct.sws.co.jp/components/series/pdf/dls.pdf

Seems I got a run today... ;-)

Please help me out again, what it is...

It's a YAZAKI 2.3II(090II) series Part.-Nr. 7283-1133-10

http://connectors-catalog.sys.yzk.co...list&select=05

On to the the AMP connectors...

This one IAC (?):

Could very well be a AMP SSC (Sealed Sensor Connector) System connector

Part.-Nr. 184000-1

Here it is at Mouser:

Wow, you're getting ahead of me!

I'll label them on my website then come back here and do what I can. Are you just taking the images I've posted here?

BTW - the black, second one you asked about is the TPS.

The first, grey one you asked about is the Knock Sensor Harness and Vehicle Side Harness for 00 miata

The one you called "VVT" is actually the cam sensor - they are the same between 99-05, even though the go to VVT, they just moved the location they used it at.

NOT VVT! It's the cam position sender, as mentioned in previous post, it moved to the rear of the motor in later, VVT years, but the part is the same. Good find!

That one's the knock sensor plug. I may actually have to go check my car to figure out which side is which since mine's a jumble, as I made an intercept cable for it. Still, I believe the pinned connector is the sender. Wil verify.

Very important sensor!

Please help me out again, what it is...

It's a YAZAKI 2.3II(090II) series Part.-Nr. 7283-1133-10

Yeah - looks like an AMP to me.

Whew! Took some editing. Apparently, I had lots of stuff duplicated.

Now everything is labeled!

MiataConnectorImages - AbeFM's Photos

Every picture has a caption saying what it is. There's 50 images, but only a handful of connectors. I am happy to take more pics if there's something people want to see. Guess I should at least try to get on teh water temp sender, but if someone else can get this, it would be way better. I'll host it when it's taken - someone haf a harness, right?

I have a few harnesses. I really don't know from what years, although I haven't really looked into it too hard. I'll take a guess and say NA1 and NA2 possible NB1 I'm sure I can pull the temp sensor off of one or more tonight and get the info.
