I was installing my flywhell tonight when I noticed this part and wasn't sure what to do with it. I'm 90% sure it fell out of the end of the crankshaft that the fly bolts up to. If it does then it spaces the flywheel out from the end of the crankshaft as the diameter of it comes in contact with the pilotbearing . Any experience with this part?

 

That part is definitely not on the 1.6 motor. Could it be an aftermarket spacer to make the clutch engage sooner?

 

found out it came out of an automatic motor that i had recently tore down.
