Default Does the stock oil pressure sender affect ECU reading/tune in any way?

Wanted to triple check before I pull it off so I don’t break anything. Am going to be replacing it with an autometer gauge in the same spot on my ‘96

No. It's only connected to the gauge cluster.

I might be wrong, but the na8 pressure senders were just dummy switches to begin with to my knowledge. Read either pressure or no pressure.

Some 94's also had a proper pressure gauge. A 96 would just have a switch like you said.
