Default Door pulls upholstery questions

I have some questions and hopefully someone can help me. I just made a pair of door pulls and they look great. My problem is I have no idea what I'm doing with upholstering the door cards. My understanding is that I can remove the current vinyl and than add some foam padding and recover with the vinyl using spray glue. I just want to make sure you will not be able to see the holes from the armrest that I deleted once the job is done. Could someone give me a quick explanation?

Source for door pulls?

Just bought some material with the foam backing stitched in. You can buy it on amazon pretty cheap. Not sure if the spray adhesive will work on open cell foam as well, but I just plan on pulling it taught and stapling from behind.

I bought some pleated vinyl from a place called "DIYVinylGuys". When I checked them out just now, the exact material I bought isn't offered any more. BUT if you source your own vinyl and padding then you should be good. Spray adhesive to keep everything from shifting around, and staples to secure the edges (pulled tight, of course) and you're in business.
