Like the title says my auto dimming mirror in my 99 has been drying up (i'd say leaking out but it's not dripping on anything) Is there any way to refill them or am i better off just ripping it off and getting something without a compass or lights? I saw people sell them on ebay for like 250+ bucks. not too interested in that. I tried ripping it off but had no luck so far. is it time for a ricer wink mirror? ugh. I generally can barely see anything out of the rear mirror anyway due to the roll bar but would still like something. I do find my self occasionally using the compass and map lights.

 

I've got a convex mirror similar to this one over my rear view mirror. I can see pretty well through my rollbar with it (double diagonal), and it's only a couple inches wider than the factory mirror so it doesn't look ricey.

I wanna say that pnce the chemical make up of whats in those mirrors starts to do that, its time for a new one. But I could be wrong. Just my .02
