Buy the one from FM and paint it black.

zarish 03-11-2008 05:21 PM

There used to be a Vishnu dual feed rail similiar to the home made one you currently have. Not sure if anyone else makes one other than the fm one. Why don't you just paint the one you have and make it look nice?? You can spend the $200 on something else like MS.

ill get stung on import tax to the uk on the FM one also so it will work out at about £150+p&p and flyin miata charge uk customers first time for buying something

i have seen some really nice writeups on how to make your own...i think TurboTim made one, and someone else had one out of stock AL, also real nice...
good luck

Won't this be the case no matter what? Tell you what, you buy the FM rail, get it shipped to my Canadian address. I'll send you my black Vishnu rail.

I don't care if it is purple or not :)

Id get in touch with TurboTim and see what he and the shop can do for ya. theres even a rail listed on their website.

If this is for the 90-93, I have it on good info that there is a forum vendor that is about ready to release their fuel rails. :) Black Anodized, Factory FPR mount, dual feed via 3/8NPT connections, with a much larger internal volume than the factory unit. Just waiting on anodizing and engraving to finish before posting up.

the only way i can get away without payin import tax and vat is for the shop/person i bought it from to put 'item value $25 second hand car parts' i contacted FM and asked it they would do this for me but they wouldn't
its not the fact of how much it is if the fuel rail was £200 i would happily pay it but i object to payin import tax and vat for a item unavailable to the uk
i buy loads of stuff from america and all sellers are happy to put a low item value on the shipping info

if anybody has a 1.6 billet fuel rail and also a nice set of verinier pulleys forsale please let me know can pay through paypal if you send me a couple of picks

thanks lee

he said in another thread they will run about $100 for MT.net members. :)

TurboTim 03-13-2008 08:31 AM

For $100 you can't beat that. Still I would make one myself though, using available aluminum fuel rail stock and standard drill bit. But i also don't run the OEM FPR.

The chances of me making another tubular stainless fuel rail is maybe 2%. Definitely one of the harder things I've done. Now if I got smart and made jigs for my stuff, that'd be a different story.

Faeflora 03-13-2008 09:40 AM

The MT idol at FFS makes a rail but you'll need to weld (jb) on your own fittings. i tried to plug mine up with just screwed in barbs and it bled all over.

Saml01 03-13-2008 10:16 AM

Question.

Are these both dual feed fuel rails?

Those are basically the same thing with the intersection point at different places. I don't see how either way would cause problems unless the T fitting at the rail would not fit inside the intake area.
