Dumb aesthetics question - paint manifold after strip to bare metal?
I painted mine with Summit Racing Aluminum spray paint. If I were to go back, I would have added some clear coat over top. It looks good now but the roughness of the outside of the casting means it catches every bit of dirt. I think a thick clear coat would help that.

Bah... I got the manifold back. I didn't have it blasted, only dipped. After a coat of primer I played around with colors. I didn't like the "cast aluminum" color next to the gold of the valve cover. It just didn't work color wise in my opinion. SO, I went to a "stainless steel" color. The color itself works well I believe, but it caused the manifold to have a very "sandpaper" like texture. While it looks fine, I am worried that it will attract dirt even worse than the stock cast aluminum finish. I am unsure wither I will strip it and try another paint color or just go with it. I will post pics later.
