Can't read it...
Post setup info, amount of boost you were running, whp/ wtq and what Rpms they were at.
What kind of dyno was it?

Eunos93 07-08-2012 10:12 PM

Idk if you guys can read it but its 201hp and 156tq @6700 rpm on stock ecu on 3lbs of boost!

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:30 PM

What turbo are you running? Rising rate FPR?

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:31 PM

Please create a signature with details about your car/ setup.

Eunos93 07-08-2012 10:35 PM

No fpr just 440cc injectors 255 walbro pump. I have a begi fmu but I disconnected it because no matter how I adjusted it, it would dump too much fuel and barely run! How do you make a Sig?

18psi 07-08-2012 10:44 PM

so the dyno outputs crank power and not wheel? cause there's no way in hell you're making 200whp on 3psi. even crank that would be optimistic

what is your setup?

Eunos93 07-08-2012 10:49 PM

Idk how accurate my boost gauge is because its digital but its reading 3lbs at full boost. I just got an anolog boost guage today. I'm gonna install it tomorrow and see what its putting out!

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:50 PM

To create sig, click on user cp in the upper left and edit your crap by selecting "signature"

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:51 PM

What 440 injectors? What turbo? Why only 3 psi? WE NEED DETAILS.

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:52 PM

Thanks for the sig...
What year is your car?

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:53 PM

Most important question:
What wideband do you have? And what was it reading at 3 psi?

Eunos93 07-08-2012 10:57 PM

Aem wideband at 3psi it reads 11.9

thirdgen 07-08-2012 10:58 PM

Amazing....
What year is your car?

Eunos93 07-08-2012 11:06 PM

It's a 93 with a 1.8 swap. Wiseco 9.5-1 pistons, carillo rods, ACL bearings, springs and retainers. Idk why its putting out 3psi. I have no boost controller right now, its running off of wastegate boost!

soviet 07-08-2012 11:20 PM

so what your dyno says is that you make less TQ than a bone stock miata before boost kicks in, and more TQ than any other miata at that boost level.

it looks like a dyno graph for a BIG SLOW TURBO except it got scaled down by 2x

thirdgen 07-08-2012 11:21 PM

Dude...if you have that much into your engine, why are you running the stock ecu?? Get a megasquirt in there right now before you run boost ever again and destroy your investment.
Seriously.

Eunos93 07-08-2012 11:30 PM

Idk much about dynos and power curve but it was dyno day so I figured 3 pulls at $40 i'll see where my car was at. When I get an ecu, boost controller, better wastegate, etc I'll be getting it tuned on another dyno. A lot of people were disappointed but I'd rather have low #'s than inflated #'s but it is what it is!

I know I really wanna tune it but when I was building this car I had a job. I ran out of $ before getting those last few IMPORTANT things but I don't drive the car much because of that and besides that it drinks more fuel than a bus. But my friend got the air/fuel ratio right by adjusting the maf but it still idles funny and stalls a lot. Definitely needs a tune, lots of potential!

fwMiata 07-09-2012 12:39 AM

they gave you the wrong dyno graph.

viperormiata 07-09-2012 01:48 AM

Post pictures of your turbo setup.

Yeah, that's not making 200whp at 3psi man. 200whp on a stock ECU is quite a feat, it's been done of course, but only at 12+psi with a shitload of band-aids.

fukin' double post

viperormiata 07-09-2012 02:55 PM

No way you're making that power.

Eunos93 07-09-2012 03:28 PM

I guess the dyno is lying then. I did 3 pulls, first 201, second 200.7 and third 200.3! I don't think that's a lot of power but the car f***in moves. I definitely gotta change the boost gauge to make sure I'm running 3psi

viperormiata 07-09-2012 03:43 PM

You need to check and see what spring you have in the wastegate too.

thirdgen 07-09-2012 06:54 PM

What ate you using to control timing?

Eunos93 07-09-2012 07:05 PM

No timing either but I just put in a REAL gauge and it reading 8psi which I know is accurate because my wastegate came with an 8lb spring!

thirdgen 07-09-2012 09:19 PM

How many decibels was the DET can reading?

flounder 07-09-2012 09:29 PM

Are you sure you're reading psi and not bar?

Eunos93 07-09-2012 09:55 PM

It was a digital bar only gauge which read 0.3 bar at full boost, which calculates to about 3-4psi but when I put in this anolog gauge it reads accurate at 8psi no bar on it!

thirdgen 07-09-2012 11:59 PM

Don't go into boost ever again Until you get proper management... I'm serious.
Not in for part out.
Part out will consist of bend rods, holy block, and melted pistons.

No. I run the world's biggest turbo on a miata and, No.

What the fuk wastegate will even go down to 3psi?

Yes. Please just blow it up. I am proud of you for assembling your turbo plumbing. I did not do that. But I also still have not blown up motor.

Eunos93 07-10-2012 06:09 AM

Ok like I said before my old gauge read wrong my new gauge reads right at 8ps. My bad and getting it tuned to maybe 12-15psi is in the very near future. I barely drive it because of that reason and it also drinks more fuel than a Cummins. This motor was built to handle power and it doesn't lean out at all so I don't think it'll brake but I don't wanna be wrong so I will get it tuned.

thirdgen 07-10-2012 09:52 AM

AFR is not the only thing you need to worry about. I guarantee that this thing is detenating all over the place. So what if you have a built motor...you need proper management to go with your motor. Do it right, not 1/2 assed.
What spark plugs are you even running??
I guarantee with proper management you'll make at least 40wtq more, and you'll get better fuel mileage. I made 225whp/207wtq and I got like 31mpg on the way to the dyno. How? Proper management.

Eunos93 07-10-2012 01:15 PM

Afr is 10s mid 11s at full boost if its running rich as hell right now! I think afr is safe but I want it at good potential. My spark plugs are ngk-r one step colder gapped at 32. I check them after every drive! I wanna tune it so bad but I lost my job and ran low on funds so I don't drive it much smh!

Fireindc 07-10-2012 04:29 PM

Yeah, afr's are alright then I guess. However 200whp with no timing control is going to end badly for you. For the sake of your motor don't go into boost anymore until you get some kind of EMS.

Eunos93 07-10-2012 04:38 PM

Yea I'll play it safe, definitely trying to save unemployment checks to get a mspnp or greddy ultimate. Would rather be stand alone though!
