It's actually already concave under the two center runners, I mostly just took off the texture from the casting. If I was using the stock exhaust nuts with the built in washer surface it wouldn't have been necessary at all.

I got it all installed last night (still have to tune, wire up gauges, etc., so for now I have the wastegate locked open).

Bad part is that I finally, after 4 weeks of not being able to drive the car, I drove it to work and my radiator sprung a leak, turns out there is a 4 inch wide crack in the upper tank...damn it.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the install:

Fitment of the turbo on the manifold (pay no attention to the accessory belt):

Why does the upper portion of the downpipe appear to have grown a short, tight beard?

I'm sure there's some sort of Ma'ma joke in there somewhere.

I'm pretty sure Corky says heat-wrap on the downpipe is a bad idea. It's not bad for the wrap, but something about accelerated degradation of the metal. Somebody else can chime in with specifics.

Yeah, I know all the warnings and I'm gonna take my chances and see what happens. I took the extra precaution of coating the wrap with wrap sealer. I'd like at some point to replace it with a SS downpipe anyway.

It works fine on cars that are always driven a good distance and have time to burn off the moisture. I've run it on race cars w/o issue to the manifold... but the stuff usually only last a season before it starts coming apart.

That heat wrap stuff looks cool initially...

I'm curious after some good mileage how it holds up.

Nice setup man!
