Actually, garagestar took the idea from Ken auto. I saw the door bushings on Ken autos sight long before garage star announced their new part....just realized this was stated above lol.

Really? Nobody has mentioned that all thread. Wow.

I've driven and ridden in another low mile NB miata before/after the garage star bushings. Made a noticeable difference surprisingly. Also, closing doors is a huge pain in the rear now, you gotta slam the crap out of them. If the door-closing problem is fixable (to stock effort level), I'd run them. Cheap and works.

They can be sanded down to achieve easy closing.

If you have to slam your doors, I bet your hinges have slop, allowing the door to hang. Of course the harder material won't allow the door to close as softly. My gs bushing only require slight more closing force, more like a more solid "close".

The car in question has 40k miles, pretty sure the hinges aren't worn out. Would be good to check though, see if there's any slack.

aidandj- does anyone sand them down? Do they still "work" as far as the NHV and whatnot improvements after sanding? Is so, I'd probably go for them then.

40k of drag strip launches with drag radials?

No not my car, friends car. 40k/one owner clean car. Mines at 160K and my hinges probably are worn out...

Goodwins site says you may have to sand. The tolerance between the "door cup" and the bushing is actually pretty tight. I imagine if the door cup has been smooshed a little (maybe seat belt in the door) you may need to sand.

You can sand or you can stretch the pocket instead.

I still say you won't get noticeable benefit in nvh unless the doors are slightly hard to close, needs to be zero gap and that's what makes the doors hard to close.
