Hey, any of you who participated in the energy suspension bushing group buy installed theirs yet?

Right now i'm in the process of installing them on the rear and its pretty simple with the right tools. I found that you don't need the press at all to remove the OEM bushings. Just used that harbor freight tool that FM recommended. Its def a lot easier to use that tool with two people though.

Yup, thats the exact tool that I have. Its so easy even a caveman can do it.

 

It's been a little over a month since the group buy time to bump this thread! Anyone else installed yet? If not the whole kit at least partial? What do you think? Driving difference? Installation difficulty? Did you retrofit grease zerks in yours? If so which bushings?

Still a good deal at $237 shipped. Want impressions of those that have done this. Need to see if I should get some coming. 94 car with 80K - those rubber bushings are bound to be tired. With the new turbo system and 8" 6uls w/ 225 rubber the suspension is going to see a whole lot more stress on the road and at the track.

 

You know, I was actually surprised to see that the condition of the rubber bushings that I took out seemed to be pretty good. Everything was still intact and nothing was torn even after 176k miles. I'm about ready to do the front bushings tonight if I'm able to take out the ball joints from the spindle. Got some new Tein flex coilovers i'm gonna install at the same time.

So far, i've noticed that the rear does ride a little more stiff than before. Nothing major. Although, it makes swapping suspensions so much easier cause the arms just drop once you loosen the sway bars.

 

I installed my rears. Waiting on balljoints for the front. I ended up having to loosen the struts up in the rear because the ride because very stiff and was throwing me around causing a bit of oversteer. I am thoroughly impressed. Definitely can feel the suspension responding to adjustments now. It only makes sense that the suspension can only work as well as the platform its put upon.

 

Are you replacing the upper a-arm ball joints or the lowers?

I'm hoping to find a replacement ball joint for the upper a-arm if it exists, don't really feel like dishing out money for new uppers.
