Ive never created a custom exhuast before but im Making A custom magnaflow exhaust. So far ive decided on 2.5in piping and an 18in muffler. I now have the exhaust tip to worry about. The thing im wondering is what size are yall running? Like what in/out diameter and length.

Also do different kinds of tips impact sound?

 

2.5 inch exhaust, just use a 2.5 inch tip

Does anyone know anything about resonated tips? other forums have said it will adjust the tone and make it deeper but i have a feeling its not worth as much as they sell for

ignore the haters and their ignorance in what they don't understand.

get a simple clamp tip made of stainless that is slant cut and no more than 1/2" bigger in diameter than your piping. It will look tasteful and clean.

On the exhausts we build, there is no tip - the pipe comes out through the stock hole and truncates in a straight cut. Cheap, clean, tasteful, and low-key.

 

You need to make an M5-style kit so I can floss it on my Miata.

 

I use silicone couplers for exhaust tips!
