Default Gauge cluster issues after cage install

I obviously took the dash out to install my cage and am now having gauge cluster issues. Gauge cluster was never in the car during welding.

Working: brake warning light. Airbag warning light. Oil pressure gauge has power, sweeps to a normal operating range when the car is not started but ignition is on. No change in function when car is started.

Not working: cel. Tach. Unknown on gas gauge...reads 1/4 tank all the time. Coolant temp does not work .

Tested:

Grounds on the black connector going into the gauge cluster are good as far as we can tell. Test light shows a good ground on both ground pins, ground strap on left dash is intact, but we don't know where the right dash ground strap is. 10a fuse in the kick pannel is good and was replaced just in case. The main relay for the radiator fan works, but I do not believe the fan gets turned on at operating temperature but the test procedure trips the relay and power is supplied to the fan connector. I don't have a way to tell what temp its at so idk if it should actually trip the fan or not.

Car is a 95 miata w/ abs. Idk where to go from here with testing.

I had a similar issue.

Are you hearing a buzzing sound (other than the fuel pump) when you turn power on?

Turned out to be a plug on the far right under the dash. I dont recall ever unplugging it but I must have to take the dash out.
