I have a buddy who has a competition clutch that he's trying to find a buyer for....if it's the series I want then I'll have one soon. Then I gotta get on my ass and take the damn thing off :sigh:

heh, thats what I'm dreading. :(

Braineack 01-03-2007 07:36 PM

they want $311 for the pressure plate...i can get the whole setup for $323.....I think a have a local deal brewing on a Competition clutch, just trying to figure out the model

miatamania 01-03-2007 07:38 PM

damn. Why is just the pressure plate so damn expensive? Let me know what you find out :)

Braineack 01-03-2007 08:06 PM

so you don't wise up and buy only the pressure plate...since they use the stock disc on thier kits.

Guess that makes sense...suck though. What disc is supposed to come with the kit? I have an Exedy disc sitting in my box. right now.

Braineack 01-03-2007 11:37 PM

OEM Exedy disc.

miatamania 01-04-2007 12:03 AM

ah, alright, just wanted to make sure :)

Is it necessary to use a new clutch disc when replacing the PP? Can you just have the old disc re-machined or re-finished?
