Hey whats up ? I got a 1990miata with a greedy turbo kit I've notice at night its RED HOT after doing about 60mph should it be glowing like that i've called a couple shops and every body says diffrent things so if u have one pleas reply thanks

 

it's normal, but not from a 60mph cruise, i've got to be boosting hard for a while

I found out mine glows when i was running 130 and a charge pipe blew off and i pulled over and popped the hood. Red hot. Shouldn't be like this at 60 mph or under any normal conditions. +1 on base timing, retarding it too much can cause extremely high EGT's and melt ****.
