Cool Hard top for under 100$

I was out @ my pick and pull looking for some parts for my heep, and stumbled across a 92 auto black and tan with a hard top. Just out of curiosity I asked how much the wanted for the top. He said 100,and I came back with 70. We finally settled at 80, so I hurry as fast as I can to grab the top and hardware before he price checks it with ebay or Craigs. I have a few other things to grab off the same car later this week. I Cruise control and defrost hardware. Will I have a problem using an autos cruise on a manual?

Btw U jelly?

The dealer parts catalog does not specify any difference between M/T and A/T for the cruise control parts.

Note that if your '92 was built with neither A/T nor cruise, the wire that goes up to the vehicle speed sensor (inside the speedometer) is probably missing from the instrument harness. It's a green/red wire at pin 2F on the back of the instrument cluster. I posted an image of it several years ago in a thread I've long forgotten, so it shouldn't take any more than a month of solid searching on your part to find where I showed how to splice into that terminal directly at the speedo.

I'll make sure I go this route...

" Seattle police say a man who thought he was ninja was impaled on a metal fence when he tried to leap over it.

An officer who was looking for an assault victim nearby Monday night heard the man screaming for help.

Police supported him to prevent further injuries until medics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he was in serious condition in intensive care on Tuesday.

Police spokeswoman Renee Witt wrote in a department Web site posting that officers thought the man might have been involved in the reported assault, but he insisted he was just a ninja trying to clear a 4- to 5-foot-tall fence.

Witt says the man was “overconfident in his abilities,” and that alcohol likely played a role."

this is why I enjoy this forum..... it has the perfect ratio of ball busting to quality information.

I also hope you die. Not that surprised that this deal was found in or near Detroit though. As in, I'm not surprised that there is an asshat running a yard that has absolutely no idea how much a hard top off of a japanese car is worth. I bet he knows exactly how much a shifter bracket from a '67 chevelle is worth though...

thanks joe i'll run a wire from that screw to pin P on the brain.

I went back today to grab defroster timer, relay, fuse block, master cruise switch, cruise stalk, cruise servo and cable, cruise brain, brake light switch, pedal set, battery carpet cover, console lid that isnt broken, stock airbox to test the theory my mazdaspeed (knock off possibly) CAI is helping or hurting me...... for the grand total of 40$

After I got home I realized I have every connector with exception of the master switch. So looks like ill be back tomorrow for the pig tail on the donor and try to wire it up like this

G X X A
H F D B

A. yellow/back - tap cruise control brain
B. black - ground
D. red - tap fog light plug
F. black/yellow - meter fuse
H. red - tap cruise control brain
G. red/black - tap fog light plug

anyone have any thoughts?
