Get a bar of saop and let the belt wear the bar down a little and it will, fill in all the spaces and quite the belt the inherent problem you have is moisture and slipage of the belt.

no, i would have still taken it with a blown motor, but i guess he figured a car without a motor was an unloved car and junked it
