Assemlbing braided hose onto -AN fitting
anyone have any tips or good links, i don't know if i'm being retarded but these things are a pain in ***
specifically how far do you need to get the hose into the red fitting

Get a big chisel, heavy hammer and a chunk of aluminum or steel. The chisel leaves a clean cut and make assembly easy. Lay the hose on your chunk of metal and give the chisel a couple hard wacks.

i guy at work got one end on for me. he used masking tape and used this tiny hacksaw which made a really nice cut. poured a ton of motor oil into the fitting and put the hose in without removing the tape, worked better than what i did.
