Help finding something to cover up oil drain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have the rubber cap that came on the nipple where you attach the oil return line. Anyone have any idea of a part number or something from mazda. Tried calling a dealr today and the guy was like. I dont know what you are talking about. I dotn see it on my diagram.

O'reillys had nothing that size. Only NAPA is pretty far from my house. I need it like tomorrow if possible. Please Any ideas

B660-10-328 Cover, Blind-cyl. Block

If needing a roadside repair suggest a short 3-4 inches of 5/8 or 3/4" hose. Screw in a fat short bolt of screw in one end and secure it with a hose clamp. There is your cap. Clamp it in place.

I would have done a variation on pop's suggestion, leave the hose attached in the hard to reach spot, but trim it about 3" longer than the nipple, fold over, clamp, done.
if it's not too brittle anyway.

so there should be no negative affects to the drain cover not being exactly air tight like the oem one? if not im just gunna do that and put a bolt in the end of it.

Fixed an F-body fuel rail that way..little scared when it pressurized.

shouldn't even have any oil pressure on the hose.
