Did you ever see this? (Bottom of the linked page)

Yah, I thought about it. But for 0 dollars I could mod my hood. I also think its heavier than my gutted hood.

<-- all about saving the bucks so I can put it elsewhere.

I think they should charge more for that oil cooler.

Do you have any shots of the hood mods? I'm always down for making my own solution, but in this case I figured my "solution" would be uguly.

I basically gutted the skeleton.
Added hoodpins.
Vented the top of it for my Vmount... raised the front edge to increase aero pulling effect.
Headlight cover is held up by a random bracket system I made... bolts to the factory cover mounting points... holds lid up.
Driverside headlight lid is left off for air... I never bothered to mount it.

Without the skeleton... it is LIGHT. And flimsy

I see, I was more or less just curious of how you held the lids up there. I still will try to figure something out before shelling out $300 for a hood.

I definitely noticed the coil upgrade! Nice and RELIABLE upgrade vs the COPs.

Thats a Neon/Pt cruiser Coil. Anything that uses the Chrysler 2.4L DOHC World engine will have it.

It does look like a Neon R/T 420A coil and plug wires.

Or the 2 liter family. I have a spare laying around if anyone wants it, the stocker from my SRT4.
