High altitude tuning, by Jay @ TDR!

I thought you old-timers may get a kick out of this thread over on M.Net. I didn't beat the hornet's nest until a bit later in the thread; I'm curious if I get some infraction points for my audacity :D

I'm just here to share my enjoyment of the shens.

Did someone say "hornet"?

Why do you read m.net? Entertainment?

18psi 05-04-2016 09:26 PM

he's banned on here. and this is like the 100th thread talking about how dumb he is.
that should tell you something.

Chilicharger665 05-05-2016 06:05 AM

I couldn't even see the logs that he was talking about because I am on my work comp, but damn I can't stand that guy. Good job taking him down a notch :vash2:

For the NC platform, you guys don't have a whole lot of information for certain aspects of bone-stock car maintenance like replacing the stock fuel pump assembly or PPF height alignment after pulling the clutch. We need more NC folks over here!

Oh yeah, I called that out later in the thread. Dude's a basket case.

Thread result was a multitude of folks ended up calling him out on broken log data, a completely wrong target AFR table and wrong VE tables. Sounds like the mods have started allowing dumbass tuners to get their fair treatment (so far, in small quantities) without stepping in. We'll see how long this is tolerated.

thumpetto007 05-05-2016 11:21 AM

Lol, who is blackone? "maybe you don't understand?" lololol

Classic case of calling the kettle blackone.

Shit just got real, lulz:

With proper calibration there should be no issue with dealing with altitude.

Will this finally inject some much needed humility into Jay's shenanigans? One could only hope.

hornetball 05-05-2016 12:33 PM

Went over and scanned it. Holy cow, what a 'tard.

Back to work . . . .

Nope.
The thing with stubborn dumb people is that they are willingly so

albuquerquefx 05-05-2016 02:16 PM

Well, you're right.

Now he's on his tangent, defending himself to ECUTek, because higher altitude results in lower load cells being used and obviously A: this is somehow wrong in his little mind and B: he has to "deal with all this nonsense."

::rofl:

shuiend 05-05-2016 02:58 PM

Better watch out albuquerquefx blackone is out to meet you. I saw you should surprise him with a dozen roses and a kiss on the lips right away. Then show him your not-shitty Fab9 setup.

18psi 05-05-2016 03:12 PM

You should 100% meet him.
And post videos.

I've done this before many times. It was glorious.

albuquerquefx 05-05-2016 03:33 PM

Damn, well now you make me want to meet him. :D Maybe I should've read here first...

mgeoffriau 05-05-2016 03:40 PM

I can't imagine handing over any significant sum of money (not to mention entrusting the tune of my car) to someone who writes/types like that...

Isn't the fix obvious? Instead of using MAP vs. RPM to determine fuel and time, use TPS vs. RPM. Done! And . . . BOOM!

Hahahahahahaha!!!
