Honda seats in a miata???

Default Honda seats in a miata???

i'm about to pick up some 03 civic SI seats and i'm wondering if i can replace them in my miata. I was wondering if anyone has done it? can it be done? where can i get some rails for it?

I dont know if it can be done, I dont see why not. But I can tell you this, you are going to have to make custom rails.

Anything can be done.. you will have to be handy with metal to fab new rails, or you can do what I did.. use stock rails, and make special mounts to fit the seats on the stock rails. Either way, its a pain

Just a heads up... those seats are pretty large and sit you fairly high. When used in older hondas at least....

You might have fitment issues width and height wise in the miata.

yeah Im with split, on the fwd cars you seem to sit with your feet pointed more downward, as opposed to forward in the miata. I would imagine that seat is fairly tall.

well i don't know about it sitting higher because i had a civic and i changed the seats and put in integra seats and it sat a lot lower than stock. Then again they were integra seats....

Integra seats are ALOT different than the 01+ SI seats.

I don't see a point to this? They most likely won't support you like any of the cheap racing seats. If I were you i'd go with a sparco speed instead. Theres a guy on cr.net thats selling a set for $450 shipped.

well i was asking because i have a set of MOMO non reclinable seats. i don't like them at all and i found somebody who is going to trade me some si seats for my momo, hence the question about the si seats fitting in a miata

oh i c. I dno about the fitment but you'll definately be sitting higher and you'll need custom brackets.

I bet you alot of money if you ask around, someone would trade you thoes MOMO's for there stock Miata seats.

this is what my set of momo looks like. I'm located in Northern Virginia but my car is being tuned in Richmond. If anyone has some good seats that they would consider trading let me know.. i'll post in the right section also

the prelude seats will fit better. Why not just get sparco's?
