130 indicated pretty near redline in my 91 with 5psi
135 in 95 volvo 850 turbo 120 indicated in my dads 86 260,000 or more mile volvo 240 non turbo wagon with pushbutton overdrive and no fuking tach on the way to palm springs. im not sure because it has been a decade or so but I think that was the end of the speedo (either the speedo was a bit off, or the damn near hurricane force tailwind was helping me, or both) |
500 mph and my engine blew up....but i woke up and it was only a dream....hehehehe

Relative to the Earth, 132 MPH (GPS indicated), redlined, with a 4.30 rearend (going down the east face of the Imperial mountain range on I-8) |

135 when I let off (playing with a turbo vw on a wide open 8 lane hwy) there's def no speed limiter - it was happy to go faster but the vw gave up. Amusingly enough the ecu seems to record the speed/time when you throw a misfire (Bell was surprised to find a Misfire recorded @> 100mph in the ecu when they tuned the car at the gap :-) The car actually feels more planted at high speeds (downforce was not a prob - only have the SE lip,no rear sp). Don't run that fast anymore - too much enforcement & too much to lose :inout:

Fastest with the Miata is not very fast. Around 100mph on track, because I have only driven it in the US. But my BMW hits the rev limiter on 5th at about 230km/h. German Autobahn FTW!! Fastest I have driven was an indicated 275km/h in my friends Nissan 300ZX twin turbo. :eek4dance
Our new company cars (Audi A6) are electronically limited to 250km/h. :cjerk: |
132, GPS reading, turbo miata.
139, GPS reading, F430 :) |
in the miata...
its a 94, the speedo said 125ish and the car just gave up, no more juice, lol stock drive train, but the car was very stable, more so than two other miatas i've been in at 100mph i do have a pretty low front bumper, i assume it helped |
No faster than 80mph, the screaming was unbearable.
|
In my old N/A NA I hit an indicated 128mph drafting a mk1 mr2 downhill on a long strech of highway.
In other cars, I've gone faster. |
