I want a Momo but I'm not trying to spend that kind of money on the daily. Is there an off-brand that's worth buying?

I have a used nardi deep corn 330mm suede. Pretty much the opposite of what you're looking for, but I might consider selling it for not too much.

I won't be able to reach the turn-signal sticks. Thanks though.

I am wondering the same thing.

I've had two cheap ones, G-Force Racing & eBay knock off, and they both bent. I ended up getting the Momo Monte Carlo in the end. Save yourself the trouble.

Do you guys think urban trash walking by my shitbox in the middle of the night would be interested by the lack of a steering wheel, or a deterrent?

I have a deep dish NRG, it seems pretty decent for the price. I actually laid it on the floor, stepped on it with some weight (not full body weight) and it didn't collapse. I'd think you'd damage the quick disconnect before twisting it in half.

I had a deep dish NRG in my Honda civic. The top portion of the wheel (the part that isn't supported by any spokes) bent/broke. My friend bought the same one for his Civic, and it did the same thing. Cheap junk. Buy a Momo or a Sparco.

I got one of these and I'm quite happy with it.

I consider 2 bills shipped cheap for a wheel this good. It's got a pretty thick rim and it's a good size for a power steering less car.

Keep an eye out on ClubRoadster (if you can monitor it without bursting in to a flaming ball of combustion and rage) and you can find quality wheels for ~$125. I have a 330mm Sparco Ring, 350mm Momo F-1 and 350mm Mazdaspeed. I bought all of them used.

Interesting question. I would say if they are looking to boost a car, it's an obvious deterrent. Assuming there's nothing of value in the vehicle worth stealing, nothing appealing in the cabin from external view, I'd say overall it's a deterrent.
