So I've spent some time reading some stuff on here. I'm still new to here, and to Miata's. I was reading about the voodoo box - which my car has - and that I'd be better of with a Megasquirt. Can someone tell me why? Other than saying my voodoo sucks (I'm sure that's a wide open invitation to tell me just that. Thanks in advance). As in depth as you can be would be great. My car already has a wideband and a fancy O2 sensor. I know those are pretty much requirements for using a Megasquirt. Thanks...

I understand your frustration, but this subject really has been beat to death so many times here that I do find it hard to believe you couldn't find any of the multitude of threads dedicated to the subject.

The easiest way I can convince you is this. Virtually ALL of the people on the MIATA TURBO website use Megasquirt. This includes many of the Miata specific vendors and professional racers. That alone should tell you everything you need to know.

 

I'm pretty sure you don't speak for everyone on here. Did you have a miata while you were in the womb? If not, at some point you had to learn. Which would lead me to believe you'd want to be a helpful jerk. Do you also go gay bashing with your bro's? And do sweet burnouts as you drive away? If I've been reading "the wrong stuff" on here - why is it even on here if you speak for everyone? Shouldn't you be able to delete it since you are king? Basically MTnet has turned to needing to have the absolute best or close to it, because lets face it, for what you get the mega squirt is ******* cheap, remember 10 years ago you'd be paying a over 2 grand to get a motec or some other high end stand alone to get the same level of ecu that you get today with the ms3. The voodoo box still aint that bad for someone who just want to splice some wires and turn some ***** with minimal thinking and is satisfied with 200 or less horsepower.
