I was on the highway today on my way to work...i pulled up to this Ducati 749 and put my blowoff valve in his face....i know this is stupid and unsafe but the road was clear. he gave me a tumb up and signal on three with his fingers...1...2...3...i downshifted from 6th to 4th...at 60mph...this guy was left behind...he couldn't catch up...we did it three times...and he gave up...

 

try a 999, with a rider that knows how to downshift

well considering a 750 is a 13 sec bike gj man sounds like u are realy enjoying the car the way it was meant to be.

 

he didn't know how to ride, plain and simple. I know you 300hp but you would need a 1700lbs miata to match his hp/weight ratio. Bad rider or not, I'm glad you got the satisfaction though. I raced a GTO a while back which I knew was faster than me but I got a lot of satisfaction when he ran it off the road going too fast around a corner.

My dad had a 1200whp dual turbo c6z for a few days before it sold. The previous owner "built it for 1L bikes." It had no problem with them either.

 

I had a 99 Ducati Monster 750 and I got spanked by a Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor. I sold it and bought a 97 Ducati 916, and it was like night and day. Went from an aircooled 750cc, carburated, single overhead cam, 5 speed, to a DOHC, fuel injected 916, with a 6 speed. I'm pretty sure that Benz woulda got toasted.

 

guys the duc 750 is not as fast as the uber japanese bikes unless they changed something seriusly. Ducati does not make the fastest or the best bike they just make a name and a pretty reliable product. The japanese bikes have it outclassed and outmuscled still GJ man

 

Go buy something LS1 powered.

Add FI...add gear.

Exceed 170.
