Default Iat sensor trouble

Hi so I recently found out my iat sensor is not working. I have all the ohms right in megasquirt and i told it it's a gm sensor and it's at 2490. All it reads is 70 degrees F when it's about 40 degrees here. I'm aware when megasquirt has no connection it will read 70 degrees. How do I test the wires to make sure theres no break in the wires. Also I replaced the sensor and get the same value and I get the same values with it plugged in and not plugged in. I also have it wired to the original maf connector on 1 and 6th pin. Car is a 1990 mazda miata turbo. Thanks!

Put a volt meter on both ends to see if you get any voltage on those wires. But if you already tried a new sensor and it did not work (and you measured the resistance on the pins of the sensor and those values were at least in the ball park of what they should be) I would open up the megasquirt to see if you see anything out of the ordinay.
