ideal lc-1 controller location?
i was just about to install my LC-1 controller but want to know where everyone is mounting them. i already have the gauge installed and the wires running through the firewall. please help. thanks.

I'd like to know too, as I ordered my LC-1 yesterday.

i zip-tied mine under brake fluid reservoir

i considered that, however my o2 bung is about 3ft downstream from the turbo. i don't think the cables are long enough.

I used some 1/2" thick zip ties and stuck it on the PPF next to the trans. There are little notches on the controller for the ties to hold on and not slide off. I also wrapped all my wires in some thick rubber heater hose to protect them from any debris flying under the car.
EDIT: I ran my wires through the shifter boot (I already had a rip, so what the hell?). I'm not sure if the wires are long enough for you to mount it there. |

My downpipe doesnt have a bung welded so I plan to measure off 36 inches as per Innovates instructions and see where that leaves the controller. Hopefully it wont be far enough to not let me use the shelf under the break fluide reservoir.
I dont like the idea of it being under the car, and I dont want to run the plug wires through the shifter boot. The less rewiring I have to do the happier i'll be. |

That being said it is safer under the brake master. Just make sure to protect it from the heat and it should be fine. I really wanted it inside the cabin, but the wires weren't long enough because it wouldn't fit under the center console. |
I ziptied mine to the speedometer cable against the PPF and ran the cables through the shifter boot.

behind my radio.

there's a big one already for the shifter....o2 wire under the shift boot.
|
bend a lil ridge in the shift boot metal bottom and you have the perfect way to run the wiring through. my AEM WBO2s are fed that way too.
