Ideal Turbo Catch Can Setup
 

Hey,
im looking for a Catch Can at the moment since I get quite a bit of blow by through the Chinese knock off PCV Valve that I was using and I would like to hear some thoughts.
I Imported a 323Gtx PCV Valve (Car wasn't sold here) that should be here soon and I have a breather Filter on the Exhaust Side Port of the Valve Cover.

Im probably going for a Baffled Mishimoto Two Port Catch Can, but i've heard that they are quite restrictive due to having a Bronze filter, air diverter and Baffle inside. Does a bit of extra Crank Case pressure matter in the 1.6 Engines ?

I've also seen people run their Catch Can, or add an additional one on the Exhaust Manifold Side. Where I have the Breather Filter.
As Far as I know the PCV closes when the Manifold sees positive pressure(Boost) and the Crank Case pressure is vented through the Exhaust Side Port. Mishimoto also has a 3 Port Catch Can that is actually cheaper then the two Port.
Could I just run a 3 Port with both the Valve cover Ports going into the Catch Can and then back into the Intake Manifold ?

Im curious if this is possible or if anyone has done it before. There is also a local Company Called SPS Motorsport that sells a 4 Port Can which also includes a Port for the Fuel Tank ventilation but thats like 400 Bucks. It has the output of the Can go into the Airbox aka pre Turbo and they blocked off the Port in the Intake Manifold where the PCV Originally was.

A lot of people run a filter off the exhaust side. I ran some hose off mine because I didn't want the filter to saturate with oil and drip onto the exhaust manifold. I haven't collected any significant oil with my setup.
Catch cans have been discussed a lot on here. Searching and reading is your friend.

Just read it. He was using two Cans, my Idea was to use One with 3 Ports, 2 Inlets for both Valve Cover Ports and One Outlet that goes back into the Intake Manifold but after reading the Thread You sent I might just spend a few Bucks more on Just the 2 Port. I also prefer the Breather Filter Look over running even more Hoses through my Engine Bay

I agree, I think the breather filter looks cleaner. I know a lot of people run that setup, so it probably works well enough. While I was worried about oil buildup I also didn't notice any oil on the filter after a couple thousand miles, although some of those were on a freshly rebuilt engine. I assume you'd be fine with that as long as you made sure to check it somewhat regularly.
