So I've got this mystery part in a box of Miata parts ...Anyone knows what this is? It's about 6" long or so...I thought it may be some sort of a brace and searched various Miata specific vendors, but didn't find it.

It is indeed a PCI belt receiver bracket. Just searched for one after you mentioning it and sure enough....
