Injector Dilemma(RX-8 Injector)

I recently bought rx-8 injectors off eBay(I know). At first look, they look like their real, correct part number, "Denso" on the side. But after installed them into my car, and scaling my fuel map, the car idles very rough. It idles as if the isn't enough fuel and my AFR is very lean. Though when I revert the fuel map back, it seems to idle fine; as if the injectors are the same size as the stock ones. The rx-8 injectors are 420cc and the stock ones are 254cc. My assumption is that they are fake, but I'm not too familiar with this field. Is it common for injectors to be fake and actually have smaller flow rates than they are advertised to have?.

Are you changing the required fuel? If you do, there shouldn’t technically be a need to drastically Chang the fuel table.

There is no mention as to what year your car is and which injectors you ran before. FWIW when I changed from the stock injectors on my old 1.6 engine to ev14 style injectors I had to change my required fuel table and also change my entire ve table. When I changed from 380cc ev 14 injectors to 610cc ev14 injectors I had to change everything again but it wasn't as drastic as before.

Still @ OP, adjust req fuel and get to tuning. Then assess if these injectors aren't up to snuff.

Dead time

What do you mean mean required fuel?

Req fuel is a setting in your Megasquirt.

Do you actually have a wideband? If you didn’t change any settings, it was probably actually running very rich, not lean. Change your required fuel and your dead times, and your old fuel table should be fairly close.
