Default Intercooler cleaner

The previous owner got some paint on the intercooler thus it looks kinda ratty. Can somone tell me how to clean it. I was thinking about painting but id rather clean it, Pic attached. Most of it grime, but along the top and bottom is black paint.

That or get some black radiator paint, tape it all off and spray it to match.

So do i.
Miuriatic acid is some good stuff for cleaning just about any metal. Might actually be the active ingredient in Alumashine which happenes to be an excellent aluminum cleaner. We use it on our boats, makes them look beautiful with very little brush work. Screw polishing.
